How do I connect subwoofer (2 RCA plugs) to receiver (1 RCA plug)

I am setting up my first "separates" home theater build and am stuck with the connection between the subwoofer and the receiver. My Pioneer SW-8MK2 has 2 RCA plugs in the back labeled LINE IN (LEFT and RIGHT) while my Denon AVR-1712 has a single RCA plug labeled SUBWOOFER PRE OUT.

Which RCA plug do I use on the subwoofer, LEFT or RIGHT?

Am I even looking at the correct plugs on both devices?

Would this be the right cable (and a quality cable) to use? http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10236&cs_id=1023603&p_id=2680&seq=1&format=2

I appreciate all the help!

NVM found my answer in a nicely written tutorial...

I do have a different question though... Is it necessary to daisy chain my speakers to the subwoofer? The above tutorial suggests connecting speakers to the subwoofer speaker terminals, but does not indicate whether its required or mandatory. I was under the impression that my speakers go straight to their corresponding terminal on the receiver.

Thats just a alternative setup, you still hook up your speakers to the AVR like u normally would. U won't gain anything by hooking them up to the subwoofer.
