So, I have the speaker all built now, and did some listening tests. Only listened for a few minutes. Also note I only have 1 speaker, so it's hard to judge a lot of things. I hooked it up in stereo with a Paradigm Monitor 9 tower speaker. The Monitor 9 has a sensitivity of around 90 dB. I had to turn it up approximately 3-4 dB to get the levels balanced. So it's about 94 dB, same as the Fusion 8. I cranked it just for a few seconds, and I'd have to say I was surprised that the Paradigm sounded better at extreme volume levels. I thought the higher sensitivity Fusion would have been much better. The Fusion MTM got a little bright. This could be because I am only powering it with an old bottom of the line denon 5.1 receiver that is maybe rated for 60 WPC, and the Fusion MTM is 4 ohm on the woofer side. Of course I am using this Fusion MTM as a center, so it's hard to judge with music. Voices are definitely very clear. Also I have it sitting vertically on the ground, so the tweeter is quite a bit below ear level, so that affects it quite a bit as well. Going right in front of the speaker, I can tell it has a very wide sound stage. Definitely sounds wider than the Paradigm. I will review it more later when I use it as a center for some movies. First impressions is the Fusion 8 would make a better center than the Paradigm Monitor 9, but I would say it's not quite as good as the Paradigm music-wise for L/R.
