Most displays come from the factory already with a so-called "baseline." It's a preset picture mode called "Cinema," "Movie," or an equivalent. Using someone else's numbers is just a roll of the dice and may actually end up with certain image characteristics worse than the factory preset on your sample of TV. You have been influenced by a persistent, widespread myth in the home theater community, and these types of forums, that appeals to the low energy, impatient, misinformed, wishful, naive, and confused video consumer.
