So after a lot of brainstorming and hesitation regarding this somehow first "serious" subwoofer DIY project. I have proceeded in getting the Yamaha RX-V673 receiver for my second room where the Energy ESW-V10 will go.
And I have put the order on the Crown XLS 1000 (seemed more promising then the Dayton plate amp at least from my understanding of what I read and anticipations
I ordered a pair of Dayton binding posts and a mediabridge 4 feet RCA subwoofer cable to connect the Crown to my SC-07.
From what I read, the SC-07 as a THX certified receiver "should be" able to drive the input of the crown. Alternativly, the sound card that I am feeding the SC-07 with (currently using HDMI of sound card) as I am using a multimedia PC for my main HT, has line out outputs that has the below attached specs. (so all channels will go to receiver except for Subwoofer that will go to the crown in case the outputs of the sc-07 did not work as a temp solution until I get an ART box.
Next week I need to put the order on hopefully the Dayton RSS460HO as long as there is quantity. Since I cannot send it to my second hotel much earlier, they charge for everything in this second Hotel. they will take USD 25 just for receiving the package on my behalf.
My current preparation need is to get a larger cartoon box to double package the dayton 18 inch. Does any one know the approx max size or the exact size of the RSS460HO driver packaging?
For other matters, I will post and ask things once I get the driver and amp safely, I am presuming I can find the needed accessories or similar in my place/country when I get back.
