Any way to block message previews for threads?

In the gaming forums we have discussion topics for the story of several games, problem is the preview in the topic lists and our subscriptions still shows the text for the first couple of lines. We have resorted to adding buffers but it has to be a set number of characters since the preview fills in dead space. Is there any way to mark a topic to not include previews for those not wanting to be spoiled by random browsing? (Hopefully on a board wide level, so even non members won't get spoiled)

Have you tried using the spoiler tags?

Part of the reasoning behind the spoiler topics was not having to use spoiler tags for every single post.

Sure, but it accomplishes what you're trying to do much more elegantly than a meaningless wall of text, and as far as I know, is the only way to hide text from the preview pane.

So, there is no way to tag a topic to always display a "No Preview Available" message? It would be a useful feature for discussion threads.

Not an entire thread, no.

It might be a useful feature to consider for possible site updates. Thanks for your time.
