So your data with respect to your immediately family members count but what the companies who cater to audiophiles at major shows don't?
That aside, your family members do not in the category of audiophile let alone serious audiophile based on the gear you list. A sound bar? Really? Home Theater in a Box? What you list is bought for people who watch TV or movies. Nothing remotely matches the definition of serious audiophiles.
I have a new hobby - going to estate sales. The vast majority of component stereo/HT systems I see in people's houses have subs.
As I said, home theaters do. No one would call someone who just watches movies with them "serious audiophiles."
As much as true blue audiophiles hate Bose, we all know that they move a lot of systems, and their best selling Cinemate, Acoustimass and Lifestyle systems come with subwoofers.
That is for mass market consumers, not serious audiophiles.
Amir. even the pictures you have posted here of Madrona's demo rooms seem to have subwoofers in them!
That's because you are looking at the picture of our reference theater
. We don't do a lot of 2-channel business so I have not uploaded the pictures to our web site. But I have post pictures on the forum, including in conversations with you. So you should know better than making a statement like this. Here are some examples.
This one is with the KEF Blades:
Revel Salon 2 powered by 400 watt/channel Mark Levinson Amp:
Here is the JBL Everest K2 powered by Mark Levinson Reference 300 watt amplifier:
Here are the Paradigm speakers prior to us discontinuing the line:
That said, we do have one KEF system right now with one of the new Revel subs with built-in DSP. We have dialed them in and they work superbly. But we usually don't advertise that to "serious audiophiles."
I never thought in a million years you would not know what audiophiles buy Arny. I am still shaking my head....
