Sony at GamesCom 2013 - Page 7

AC is giving me the feeling that it's one of those games that you're completely overwhelmed at first and think thats a good feeling, to later feel that all the gameplay systems put in are just work chores to be dealt with to reach a boring, monotonous end. I guess well see, but while I'm impressed with the scope, I'm not really feeling the fun of exploring the Caribbean like I should in these Vids.

Anyways, guys ready for a Indy avalanche?

Yeah, that's kind of what I'm afraid of. I also wish they wouldn't have made this an AC game but I can understand why they'd want to attach it to such a successful brand.

Are you forgetting Rime and Everybody's Gone to The Rapture?

From someone who is currently finishing the last segment of Far Cry 3, all the AC4 that I have watched gives me a Far Cry circa 1700's vibe. Not a bad thing but it's definitely borrowing some stuff from Far Cry 3.

EDIT: AC4!!

Looks like there's options to watch, comment on their session, and to join their game (also interact, which I assume is the feature where you take over for them). That's a really cool use of social functions IMO. He watches the stream for a bit then when he joins it literally loaded up in 10 seconds or so (is this realistic?). Yoshida also got a melee kill!

Really looking forward to move info. Show us these features in detail on the showroom floor Sony!

Rime looks fantastic (journey/zelda/Ico all come to mind)
Watch Dogs looks amazing and Rapture got my attention too.

Assassin's Creed meh,....Being there done that feel imo. Ac3 was such a let down that I have low hopes for this one. I never felt in any of the games like a stealthy assassins. (the Last of US, Uncharted and even Skyrim stealth kills are far more satisfiying.

Fifa14 next gen looks amazing.

Yeah Rime was the most interesting part of the conference to me, liked the music and the game seems like it'll have a cool atmosphere.

If it really is that fast to join... it will make digital very appealing for online multiplayer.

Here's a pretty long live Q&A after some marketing stuff and direct trailers.

Be Warned: TLOU spoilers in the Q&A apparently.

Forgot about Big Fest. That looked pretty neat.
Just to put today's 1 million preorder sales claim in perspective; That's more than a quarter of all Wii U WW sales to date and more than half of all MS Surface sales and we're still a quarter of a year away from launch.

I'm also wondering if it was only NA or EU making that claim. Sony said they wanted production up to 1 million a month that was starting in Aug supposedly. 1 mil over 32 countries is only 31K per, which seems low. NPD numbers in Q1 are going to be very interesting, one way or the other.
Also to put that million plus into even more perspective, that is more preorders than any console ever. Japan has yet to open preorders.
Wow. Off to a great start already and the console isn't even out yet.
