In low, the RS55 is nice and quiet and so is the VW600. What's amazing is that the 600 is putting out twice the lumen output of the 55 in the low lamp mode ~500 vs. 1000 in a slightly smaller chassis than the JVC.
It will be curious to see if JVC was able to tame the fan noise a bit in high lamp for those that need the extra lumens for ambient light or a larger screen. Most will run 3D in high lamp as well.
The Epson 5030 is quite a screamer too in high lamp, no mistaking when this model is in one of it's torch modes. It's a bit more forgiving than the JVC though since you can get on the other side of 1000 lumens in high lamp.
edit: I believe you asked this earlier - Black field uniformity on the 600 is better than any JVC I've had in my HT, solid A rating here. 1000 also get's a full pass as well. I can hold a 0 IRE pattern, turn the iris off and you can see how nice it is. On my RS55, you will definitely see some bright corners once the eye gets adjusted. Same on the 46 and 4810. Curious to see if this improves with the new panels.
