My logic flawed as it may be says, if the chip footprint is bigger, then the lens diameter needs to increase, lens diameter is not dictated the light output of a projector, as the light is focused on the chip/s>lens.
A camera lenses light gathering capability would be dictated by the lens area, but not so in a projector. As chip manufacturers shrink the die size and thus the chip size , lens diameters will reduce and costs will fall.
Do the 1100 and 600 use the same chip size?
