I was wondering if someone could help me figure out my exact room size. My main listening room is 4000 cubic feet; however, it is connected to an open hallway. The opening is 2.75 feet across and 9.75 feet high. The hallway itself is 1000 cubic feet. Would I consider this part of the room? So, 4000 +1000, I have a 5000 cubic foot room? Or, since it is the only opening in the room and it is not massive, would I include this hallway in a reduced manner. My current subwoofer is a corner loaded SVS pb-1000, and I am just trying to figure out if I am going to upgrade in any way. I only raise the volume of my Pioneer receiver to about -18db max, and I did run MCACC. I think the sub sounds great at that volume, but I am just considering all my options within the upgrade window for SVS. Right now, I don't think it would be worth it. Any info on the room size question would be appreciated.
