I have been looking for à solution to convert videos î bought from iTunes so I an play them through media browser inside windows media player.

The only ones I seem to be able to find are paid programs. Also these programs don't seem to be too reputable either.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Personally I wouldn't even bother as all of these converters just re-record the output while it's playing in itunes. You end up with a slightly worse picture and it takes forever to do.

That doesn't really fix my problem. I want to be able to use these videos in a format that is functional outside of the limitations of iTunes.

Time doesn't matter I can set them to process and forget about it.

I am under the impression these things have DRM that keep anything but itunes, quicktime, frontrow, apple tv, etc from playing them.

Handbrake is probably the most widely used video conversion tool. What happens when you open them in Handbrake? I assume an error message?

What is the extension of these files? I guess you could set up Media Browser to launch an Apple external player for that given file type, but that doesn't solve playing them natively inside WMC like you want.

Requiem. Doesn't re-encode, only strips DRM. Has to be used with iTunes 10.5. Google it.

I don't personally use iTunes but if they play in QuickTime this might work. I've never tried it so if it borks your system.......

Edit: My bad, i skipped the part where you said media browser. That probably only works in Media Center.
