Subwoofer for Bowers and Wilkings 686 (BW 686B) book shelf speakers?

I'm in a 1 bed room apartment. living room size 14x22.
My setup Sony 55" Class (54.6" diag.) BRAVIA HX800, PS3, Comcast DVR. But no receiver or speakers.

I bought a Pioneer SC-71 (Open Box with all accessories included) for $499 in Best Buy.
I also bought a pair of B&W 686 speakers. I want to start with a 2.1 system to begin with since I am in a small apartment.
I don't want to spend too much on a subwoofer right now as the bookshelf speakers have some decent bass to get by until I can spend more.
Also, I am planning to bi-amp the BWs so that will impove the sound quality more. BB did a demo of the bi-amp and it sounded great (without subwoofer).

Can anyone suggest a good subwoofer to match the BW 686? Under $200?

Thanks
Zee

You don´t really need to ¨match¨ the subwoofer to your front speakers as such. I would check out the budget subwoofers thread in the Subwoofer forum for ideas since your budget is on the low side. Some models to consider would be the Polk SW505 and the Dayton SUB-1200.

I'm going to get BIC America F12 from Amazon.

I need help choosing the sub-woofer cable. I bought speaker cables from Sewell Directo for my Front and Left speakers. They don't seem to have much subwoofer cable collection.

Here are the cables I am trying to decide on.

Mediabridge cable that is suggested together with BIC F12 in Amazon.

MediaBridge has good reviews. But the bad reviews mostly complain about the connectors being too tight to plug-in (which is also listed as one of the Pro's giving tight fit).

Belkin - Most bad reviews list a hummmm with this cable. Not sure if it's cable related or just their equipment.

Mediabridge makes low-cost, high quality cables. I personally have a subwoofer cable and several micro USB cables from Mediabridge. All of them are very well-constructed; no need to pay more for a "name brand" cable.

Thanks. Yes. I'm not looking for name brand. Just looking at the reviews irrespective of the brand.
BTW, I have a MediaBridge HDMI cable that I have used to connect my Sony HX800 55" to PS3 for 3D movies and had no issues.

I'm a big fan of Monoprice. Can't beat their prices.

Biamping is a bunch of nonsense. If you thought you heard a difference then either your ears were fooling you, or BB was doing something shady to make it sound different.

+1 on that and I would also look at the offering from Blue Jeans Cables.
