Recommend Ceiling Mount with ~36" Extension for BenQ W1070

Hello AVS crew.. in need of your expertise. I have spent a lot of time with the BenQ projection site, figuring out throw distance, screen size, placement from the floor, etc... and I think I am about to go. My last issue is my ceiling mount.

I have a dedicated home theater room, prewired with power and HDMI near where it will be mounted. The problem is the ceiling is a "tray" style ceiling, almost like a partial cathedral, so it is higher than the top of the regular wall the screen will be on.

According to the BenQ site (and a lot of people here), the projector lens needs to be 3" above the top of the screen. The 135" screen will sit 30" from the floor, is 66" tall, and 10" from the top of the wall, 106" wall. So with the 3" raise for the projector it is 7" from the top of the wall. The distance from the top of the ceiling to the top of the wall is an additional ~27". Based on that, I figure I need about a 34" drop... with a little wiggle room... does that make sense? smile.gif I think I did that right.

Anyhow... any recommendations on a universal mount that can work for my prospective projector with that large of a drop? Not much of a DIY guy... would rather get something from a vendor.

Thanks!

:EDIT:

Added a pic of from BenQ's site to make it clearer... just imagine the roof is 27" higher at mount point

Here's what I'm using. It consists of a universal adjustable mount, extension pole and ceiling plate. Make sure when you are measuring for your drop that you take into account the thickness of the ceiling plate and projector mount or you'll order a drop that is too long.

You can get extension poles from the mount companies - Chief has adjustable range ones (which aren't cheap, as they're meant for professional installers who need the speed of install). Or you can figure out the size you need, the size of the pipe, and get a black pipe cut and threaded at a hardware store to fit...
