S60 versus ST60 in a light controlled environment

The price difference between the 60 inch S60 and the ST60 is 500 dollars or 50 percent increase.

Is the price difference worth it in a light controlled environment?

I recently purchased the LG 60PN6500 but I'm going to return it due to black levels.

Any input from anybody who has seen both the S60 and the ST60 would be greatly appreciated.

The ST60 is an outstanding panel with an anti reflective filter. An easy choice as best bang for buck. The s60 is a different panel with less frills (no 3d and minimal smart tv features). A very nice picture but less than the st60. I split the difference and bought the s64 which has an anti-reflective filter on the s60 panel. I was not interested in 3d nor did I care for all the smart tv frills. IMO, the s64 is the best bang for the buck in a budget tv model.

True about the S64... I only wished it was available in a 60'' size.

So i guess the question becomes 60 inch st60 or 65 inch s64? With tax on the s64 they approximately the same price.
