Blu-ray discs with multiple movies- Any downside?

I was in Best Buy today looking for a Blu-ray and I came across a Quentin Tarantino bundle disc. It has Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and Jackie Brown.

I am very new to Blu-ray so I wanted to ask the community if there is any down side to buying a three pack like this. Would I miss out on anything like special features or commentary typically with a disc like this?

Does it vary by disc? I saw a few of them like this, but this one caught my eye.

Here is a link to the one I am talking about.

Thanks for any insight.

Crap that's a DVD. I didn't notice that in Best Buy. I think I saw some others that were Blu-rays though... so the same question above is still the same.

Here is a good example

It depends on the title, and how it's packaged. If the standalone version includes a 2nd disc of extras, for example, that typically would not be included in a budget combo pack (unless the movies are bundled together in their own separate keep cases).

Thanks. That's the kind of info I was looking for. I normally don't watch extras anyways.

These bundles offer a great value. Just picked up a Scorsese three pack.

They may also be older discs that were overproduced, for which new versions with improvements exist (new transfer, lossless sound, etc.)

I'd find a review of the specific sets you're interested in and check them out prior to buying, if things like that are important to you.

Good point. Finding decent reviews of combo packs can be a little tough though. Amazon might be one place to look for info.
