Daniel here from Sydney
love the website, wealth of info here
keep up the good work.
I just joined after reading up on projectors. I'm replacing my first portable, a PK201, with an HD projector and I seem to be pulled to larger and larger projectors. Based on raves here, I'm trying out the LG PA75U, which is borderline portable. I hope to be able to contribute as well as learn.
Thanks, I'm basically trying to look up some information on an old HDTV. its a Samsung hlp5063. Its old enough that if i tinker too much and break it , I wont feel too guilty about it. That being said, if i was able to improve the picture quality by making some tweaks in the service menu, it would be a home run for me. So if anyone can point me to the right pages, I would be very grateful. I've already managed to center the screen with the sm, which was way off.
Hi Glenn, thanks for joining the forum! I bet you'll have lots of bargains to choose from if you wait until after the holidays to buy a TV.
Hi and welcome to AVS Forum. I'd recommend heading over to the receivers, amps, and processors section—I'm sure you'll find something that interests you. There are also a number of user reviews of AVRs. Good luck!
Hello. I found this forum while searching for info about the the new M-series tv's from Vizio. I just purchased the 40 in. one and am loving it. Joined so i could learn more about it and hdtv's in general.
Nice to see a thread dedicated to the m-series alone. Can't wait to dig in and learn more to get the most out of my new tv.
I don't even remember how I found you guys.....but I decided to finally sign up. I'm trying to figure out some speakers for Christmas, and I figured this was a great place to start asking questions!
I know a half-decent amount about speakers, both pro and consumer, and I can't wait to learn more!
i'm what you might call a junior av enthusiast. always been really more of a window shopper, generally. i've been led here by google in the past, in an effort to solve a problem or hunt down some information. always found it very insightful.
but over the last little while, i've inherited a fair bit of kit, which i am sorting through and selling or keeping, depending on the equipment and my needs (wants). i thought it was time to actually join the discussion.
looking forward to learning a ton more about this stuff.
