But I have a high regard for your opinion in literary matters, so if you found something to like in Hannibal I might have to reread it. OT I know, but I'm interested in your opinion of the book.

I really did enjoy the novel Hannibal and liked the movie too but, as noted earlier, I feel sightly guilty about it. smile.gif I read the novel a couple of times but not in the past few years.

It's more than that for me. I had a friend who was a victim of a couple of serial killers in Northern California who had set themselves up a little rape/torture/murder dungeon and were kidnapping and killing hikers in the area. So I find the whole idea of serial killers as entertainment repugnant.

Hannibal has it's own thread. Please go there. Thank you.

It looks like they are going to kill Tom off tonight, because there is no way he and Liz and be together in any sense.

This will be one of the scenes I could root for the bad guy, at least rip off her wig or something!

Although if she uses stilletos she could kill him easily with one in the eye..

A la "single white female"?

Yeah but I can almost bet 2 cents she doesn't have the guts and Red will finish him off like he has done before...

I don't know, I think her acting has greatly improved over the course of the season. I thought she was quite decent in the last couple of episodes.

If he dies then so does my interest in the show. The Blacklister of the week just isn't that good.

Well my rooting was right and he won, but I guess he was there to protect her? if not she'll be dead right now... nice to hold a gun with 2 broken thumbs, Lizzie should have broken his toes or something else..

So now the plot moves from who Tom is to who Red is. If Tom was truly there to protect her then why didn't he just come right out and say why and from whom. Spader hasn't be "Spader" as much lately, and I'm losing interest. The rest of the team at the "Post Office" are just so boring.

Ok...this is really reaching for it but ok...Liz said she had to had sex with Tom. The couple was trying to have a child. Wouldn't it be a hell of a reach if Liz got pregnant. This would reinvent the characters making the story really perk up. Just a hunch that the Tom character will evolve into a different character. He is now a father and will have to make different life choices. They had to have a reason for having Liz bring up this subject.

Tom in the Mustang commercial said that the Tom character isn't totally bad and has some good in him. Coincidence!!!

What do you think? Just had this thought and it really fits the complex nature of the this couples relationship.

Firstly, these needs to be posted in the Blacklist thread.
Secondly, Liz and Tom were unable to conceive which is why they spent so much of prior episodes focusing on their attempts and successes to adopt a child. So it really would be a stretch to learn Liz is pregnant.
Mustang commercial was an unwelcome spoiler that told us Tom would get away from Liz before the episode ended.

I am glad Tom is still around. I don't think he ever said he was there to protect her. When he told her he was one of the good guys, I am thinking CIA, NSA? But no, because those guys would not have been killed so easily by Red's people. At the end Liz was looking at, apparently, some photographs implicating Red of some horrible things. But Red can't go away because he is one the main characters of the show. Easy fix: convince Liz that Tom photoshopped the pictures.

I can't wait for the next show to finally watch the invincible Red in trouble. I bet the people Tom works for will be after him.

IIRC Lizzie didn't want the hassles of getting pregnant because of her job, so adopting was an easy no pain, no leave way to have a child IMO..

When I still thought that Tom might really just be a public school teacher, he bored me out of my gourd but now we know he is a bad ass secret agent man, he is a lot more interesting.

Megan Boone has only journeyman skills as an actress, it seems to me. What the hell, though, she is gorgeous. Her character, Lizzy, though, has been showing the judgment of a fruit fly lately. Has she always been such an emotional basket case? I am puzzled about one thing in Tom and Lizzie's marriage. Why were they going to adopt a child? Was Lizzie unable to get pregnant or did she not want to get pregnant? If any of this has been explained I have forgotten it.
