I have just picked up a set of JBL L890 floorstanding speakers for a great deal. I was hoping to have them replace my Polk TSI 400's. But after hooking them up and listening to them side by side the vocals from the JBL L890 sound low and the vocals from the TSI 400's sound very pronounced or louder. The bass from the JBL L890's is more pronounced than the bass from the TSI 400's. My question is the common for JBL speakers? I currently have them connected to a Pioneer Elite SC61. I really like the JBL's and would like to know if running the Pioneer Advanced MCACC would help fix the issue with the vocals?
