2013 NFL season in HD - Page 2

DEN/NYG looks superb on WCBS NY OTA, also surround sound is great. You can clearly hear the QB's .

One annoyance I notice with the scorebar at the bottom is that if the score of a game is a final, the word "FINAL" is highlighted in yellow, making it look similar to when a yellow flag is thrown. It should not be highlighted
to avoid confusion.

KBFX in Bakersfield switched out of GB/WSH to KC/DAL in the 3rd quarter. Oddly, it was just after Washington scored a touchdown, and they eventually scored twice more. That's a strong argument for NOT switching out of a game, even though Washington did indeed lose.

My complaint with DEN @ NYG is that the NFL allows the cable cam to be to low and it gets in the way of the other camera shots.
Find a way to have a longer zoom lens and make them keep it higher above the field.

I agree.

Are you guys having issues with the announcers voices fading in and far out? As was mentioned, I can hear the effects unusually loud (especially the QB's on the field), but I can barely hear the announcers sometimes. I'm watching on my local CBS station via DTV.

They'll fix this for next week. http://deadspin.com/a-guy-at-cbs-tells-me-cbs-is-changing-their-graphics-1321216347

Thank goodness. I came in here to whine about it.

Delayed for 60 minutes after the start of the game due to lightning.

Got it. Figured there was a delay of some sort.

Both RedZone Channels will sign off at the top of the hour to protect Sunday Night Football, even if there are game(s) still going on. NO-TB should still be available on Sunday Ticket.

KSWB-TV (Fox) San Diego
AT&T uverse

Fortunately we were scheduled the NO/TB game. Picture quality in general looks rather good in my opinion especially for a Fox game.

SF/SEA looks great on WNBC NY OTA.

Really dislike CBS' double on screen titles. ---- top and bottom

It just make the unimpeded part of the screen look too small

Subjective, but annoying as hell

The games on CBS and NBC looked great OTA in Macon, GA. I had a great day of watching football.

This was actually brought up this morning on WFAN sports radio Boomer and Carton morning show. Nice to know we're not the only ones who noticed.

And SNF had a lightning delay for about an hour as well. Mother Nature must not like football this year. rolleyes.gif

I can't take the constant graphics for the NFL games. Here is my take:

CBS: Your top score line is the best in the business. Stop the bottom score ticker and either run it every 15 minutes, or incorporate into the top line. CBS used to run it top right, a few years ago

FOX: Top left score info. looks good. Eliminate the blue bottom score ticker, see above, and move it up

NBC: Eliminate the Black band on the bottom, or better yet move it to the top of the screen, like your Hockey broadcasts

NFL Ch. Move the score ticker lower on the screen, or better yet move it to the top of the screen like it used to be

ESPN: About right at the bottom, better yet move it to the top, off the field...

All other ESPN: Why does the bottom scroll come up high on the screen???

ADD: When watching High-lights, I want to see FULL SCREEN action. Get rid of the coming up box during the highlights. Looks like NFL Ch did that last night. Looked good...

PIT/CIN looks pretty good on ESPN, Cablevision NY.

By the way, the Chargers won in Philly on Sunday. Of course they did, I didn't watch the game. Silly me, seems when I watch 'em, they lose. Go figure. rolleyes.gif

Steelers and Redskins are 0-2. I love it! biggrin.gif

Vikes vs Browns, WCCO in Minneapolis via OTA. Finally good PQ from the Metrodome, coincidence that it is on CBS rather than FOX? I don't think so :-)

NYG @ CAR WNYW-DT (2 SD sub channels) FiOS

The swimming grass effect, compression artifacts and edge enhancement are real bad on all field cams making them almost appear SD quality.

HOU @ BAL WCBS-DT (1 SD sub channel) FiOS
Simply not having the swimming grass effect brings much better PQ on CBS than FOX .
The field cams are good.

Somebody tell me what was going on at NFL RedZone? Looked more kike NFL BlueZone! :P

What were they advertising? Blue Man Group? New Smurfs movie? (Cause everybody looked like a Smurf! Thought it was my TV going bad but regular game on CBS and golf on NBC look fine).
Are you talking about Direct TV or Cable Version?
The cable/Dish Net version of NFL Red Zone has normal video color for the games.
NYG/CAR on WNYW NY OTA looks very subpar. Seems like the main 20-50-20 cam is far away from the field up in the nosebleed seats.

HOU/BAL looks very good on WCBS NY OTA.

I wish FOX can put us here in NY out of our misery and switch to another game. I know that's not going to happen.

Watching bonus coverage now of GB/CIN and CLE/MIN, and CBS looks better.
Now watching DET/WAS, and looks lousy.

BUF/NYJ looks sharp. Surrounds are great also.

Well at least they made an attempt to win the game. The Giants didn't even show up at their game.

I would like to submit a full retraction of this previous statement. What in the hell has happened to FOX? Their pq has simply gone to hell.
