The cable/Dish Net version of NFL Red Zone has normal video color for the games.
Since I don't have Direct TV, it was the cable version. FYI, it went normal after about 17 minutes.

Too bad the picture quality didn't help ease the pains of watching Christian Plunder I mean Ponder.

Week 4

Watching NYG/KC on WNYW NY OTA.

Ground shots look good, but the 20-50-20 cam looks soft.

NYJ/TEN on WCBS OTA looks good.

Bonus coverage of SEA/HOU on Fox looks very subpar.

PHI/DEN looks good, but the main 20-50-20 cam looks like its shooting very wide, far away.

Anyone watching football today?

Mom went to the Texans game. Brother who lives in Seattle made fun of us tongue.gif

C'mon FOX, switch to another game already. It's 49-13 DEN in the 4th.
It's been announced that the Chargers/Raiders game has been pushed back to start at 8:35 PM Pacific time this Sunday, due to the time needed to convert the stadium from its baseball configuration to the football configuration (A's playoff game on Saturday). Game will be shown on NFL Network (not CBS) nationally and local stations in San Diego and Oakland, TBA. For Oakland, that is, if the game sells out in time.

I was saying the same thing at the TV.

I was watching football Sunday from 1pm to midnight so I wasn't here to post.

I doubt anyone on the east coast including myself will be watching that game. It's hard enough to stay up late for the SNF game.

I guess if the A's game is rained out, they are still keeping the NFL game the same time.

Wondering if they could have started the ALDS in Detroit first, then Oakland for the final 3 games.
Not a whole lot of people on the west coast will be watching either, we're used to getting our night games at 5:30 PM. People in San Diego and Oakland might watch.

It's been announced that although the Chargers/Raiders game will be on NFL Network, they will use the CBS broadcasters - Ian Eagle and Dan Fouts.

Local station KFMB in San Diego will simulcast the game. Since it's the CBS outlet, most of the Sunday night network programming will be (most likely) pushed back until after midnight. Set your DVRs accordingly, with lots of padding.

Don't know the Bay Area station carrying the simulcast (assuming the game is sold out).
Assuming the game is sold out in Oakland, the game will be simulcasted on KRON.

What about KORN....they could give the hog report at halftime.

Sched FYI:
October 20th Houston Texans vs Kansas City Chiefs game has been moved from 1:00et to 4:25et.

Agreed. I honestly don't remember how I was able to watch 8:30p games back when I was in college. People in Eastern time zone are crazy.

I guess it's karma for me being a lifetime West Coaster. Well, at least I don't have to work until 2pm on Monday.

And remember, Monday Night Football started at 9 PM eastern when it was on ABC (except in 1998). I remember during that crazy Miami-NYJ's game Al Michaels mentioning it was after 1 AM.

I might have mentioned this before (probably in another thread), but back when I was in college, all my engineering professors had this penchant for making homework for the course due once per week on a Tuesday. Well, I wasn't going to do assigned homework Thursday night (haven't learned all the material yet), nor Friday or Saturday nights (party!), Sunday was spent watching football, and of course Monday we had class all day and then football was on again. Suddenly, it's 1am Tuesday morning, football has just ended, and we all came to the realization that we had three separate assignments all due in about 7 hours.

This happened every week.

You'd be surprised. Maybe it's because I'm getting older, but football at 10 am (college football at 9am) makes perfect sense to me now. Kegs 'n Eggs!!

Damn, with the Jets playing Monday night, I was expecting to get 3 games in NY on Sunday afternoon. Not the case. Giants playing home on FOX, which is the singleheader this week.

You got hosed. Chicago, Green Bay, Indy, and Arizona all got screwed, too. I blame the schedule makers.

This means I technically get 5 games today, if you count the Raiders game!

PHI/NYG looks very soft on WNYW NY OTA.

Be lucky you don't live in Arizona. The only market in the country not able to watch Denver/Dallas today.
Cool, bonus coverage on CBS of BAL/MIA now.

I am so tired of football announcers/color analysts using the phrase "in space." mad.gif

What a shootout in Dallas.

Anyone in Arizona missed a great game today.

I feel like a slob tuning in for my fourth consecutive game today. I hate the Chargers, so I guess I'm a Raiders fan tonight (won't hear me say that very often).

On topic, the quality on NFLN looks fantastic tonight, I wonder if this has something to do with the CBS/NFLN partnership in this game?
They show four consecutive games on Saturday as well. ESPN showed Washington vs. Stanford at 10:30pm. That game would end around 2am. Who watched four consecutive games on Saturday and four consecutive games on Sunday this weekend? I watched 3 games Saturday and 3 games Sunday.
