5020 split screen work around

I only ran 2 hdmi cables to my projector mount position and wanted to use the 5020ub split screen. I hooked my htpc to my 2nd hdmi and used a hdmi to vga converter. So now i can split screen and watch the tv and surf the web at the same time. Any other work arounds out there that other folks have used I would be glad to hear them.

I plan on doing the same when I get my 5020 eventually. I also ran two HDMI cables, and I have a $15 HDMI to VGA converter sitting in my Amazon cart. I intend to connect two gaming PCs for side by side racing simulations. I already have two racing cockpits in front of my 120" screen. Currently, I use one PC and over/under split screen. Side by side (with separate audio going to headphones) will be great.

I don't know of any other workarounds you can use.
