Hi there,

That is simply not possible, you will need a step down transformer 240v-110v if the TV voltage is 120v only, for that refer to the manual and for the TV channels you'll need a HD Digital Set Top Box, must be HD or else there will be issue with the aspect ratio.

I have a 240/110 transformer that I used for this purpose when I was in Australia. It has the proper plugs. PM me if you are interested.

Hi sorry for long delay replying, I have 110 power supply on my boat already.
All I need is to convert the signal from the TV to display and Australian picture. I get confused between PAL and the other source but as it is an American TV I believe it will be the wrong format for Australia, but I am not sure. I have a digital TV antenna as well.

U.S. TV's use NTSC for analog (SD) and ATSC (8VSB) for digital (HD).
Australia uses PAL and DVB-T (COFDM).

Maybe something like these would work:

EDITED for clarity.

That's ATSC for US ota, not 8VSB.

Most of those are line input PAL to NTSC converters, not the tuner he would need in AUS. Your link does list a few analog PAL tuners to NTSC but my guess is AUS may use all digital like everyone is converting to.
My suggestion is to take your Vizio(which are know for supporting 50hz even though they don't say so) and purchase a digital OTA tuner(or if using cable or satellite their STB).
Again Vizios(and both the ones I have) display 50hz(sometimes referred to as PAL) just fine, they just don't have the DVB-T tuner you might need.

Steve, 8VSB is the type of modulation used in our OTA ATSC standard, QAM is one type of modulation used in ATSC for cable operators.
