Question About Lens Shift and A-lens

I'm looking at the Epson 6020, and I'm planning to use a UH480 A-lens. I'm planning to mount it to the ceiling, but I'm not sure how low it needs to be. I have limited headroom on my riser, so I'd like to keep it as close to the ceiling as possible. I'm planning for a low profile coffered ceiling (somewhere around 2.5"), and I have a soffit that will be above the screen. How do I determine how low the PJ needs to be so that the image is not obstructed by the coffers or the soffit?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks, Mr. G. I suspect it comes down to geometry. The more I thought about it, the more I decided I was making it more complicated than it needed to be smile.gif
