If 3D is not a concern, buy the LC-80LE650U. Or the Vizio M801d-A3 - which currently retails at the same price of the 857U - but both of those have 3D, and are 600 to 700 bucks more than the 650. What is your location? Do you have a Best Buy, or Costco near you?
If I were shopping for a set that large, my preference would be to buy it from a place (locally) that has a better return policy. Two way shipping of a very large, 183 pound box is expensive..

You may save some money, but sometimes it's worth paying a bit more for better service. If you can hold out, there could be some good deals around Columbus Day.Edited by myoda - 9/24/13 at 9:12pm
