Fall 2013 Cancellation predictions

We've seen just about all of the new fall programs. Here's your chance to predict which one gets the ax first.

Dads
Yeah unless we all fall into a parallel world Dads should have a very short existence. I don't think Lucky 7 will be that lucky either.

Hostages might become a limited mini series whether CBS want it to be or not.
'Dads' is the most deserving, with 'Mom' a close second. But based on ratings, I'm going to predict that 'Lucky Seven' gets the first cancellation.

Funny, I was just about to start this same thread. I have not seen DADs, but from everything I read it's bad. The fall shows I"ve sampled are not great but not terrible, so I would not say any of them are on the short list. I have to go with shows I have not watched simply because there is something about them that turns me off. CBS seems to be tepidly pushing Hostages, no superlatives in the ads so I'd guess it's in trouble.

I think any NFL broadcast featuring the Tampa Bay Buccaneers should be canceled. They are sucking the life out of me.

ROFL! I feel your pain but I keep hoping that one of these days we'll pull off a win tongue.gif. Sadly in my viewing area we're stuck with the Jags. Thank goodness for Redzone.

Don't foget Super Fun Night and Ironside.
I enjoyed Ironside, but I think I'm in the minority and it probably won't last. Dads was just horrid and I see it ending quickly. I really wanted to like The Michael J. Fox Show, but I can't. It might make it through but doubtful.

You think "Dads" is bad, wait 'till you see "We Are Men." Ugh.

Just given the title alone, I think I'll pass.

Actually, if enough Tampa Bay people cared about your team you'd be seeing them on FOX 35 in our viewing area. smile.gif But you can bet there will only be a sell out if a GOOD team is in town!biggrin.gif But don't you get all of the away games?
I wish it was Michael J Fox show, but NBC said that they if the ratings stay the same, they won't chuck it.

Dads is horrible, but MJF show is TERRIBAD. The pilot especially sucked where every joke was about Parkinson's Disease (and most were not funny). You can't have a good comedy centered around a disease. The second episode was better, but in a 80's sitcom "smile but not laugh" way. In a perfect world, MJF would get canned and then Dads. Sadly Dads will be first and MJF will probably last a season or two.

I vote for (against?) "The Goldbergs." The cast members were like finger-nails on a blackboard to me. I switched channels in under 5 minutes. Life is too short.

I have season tickets, but what is worse is that the owners have announced that there will be no blackouts this season. They say they are close enough to the 85% of non-premium seats sold, so they will purchase any needed to avoid the blackout. After Sunday's last minute collapse, many are asking that they don't! tongue.gif

+4 (a +1 for each of my family members that could NOT stand the Goldbergs) by far the worst pilot we've seen this year!

I could not even get through the first 5 minutes of the first episode. Get this off my TV.

On the other hand, while the first episode, (Pilot) sucked, I thought the second one was a huge improvement. Ribisi in his fort, and inside the refrigerator actually made me laugh, which is not an easy thing.

We are men
Dads
Goldbergs
Ironside
Michael J Fox
Mom

Just for starters

And of course the mini-series type that should end: Hostages
post #19 of 188
After doing some major viewing yesterday the only new thing worth space is Blacklist. Everything else is just bleh.
Only 2 new shows I've liked: Blacklist and SHIELD

On a truly sad note, the Kardashians continue to have a show.

Who watches that junk? Why would anybody watch it?
For me the worst shows are the Goldbergsand MJF show.

I wish Lucky 7 would be given a chance to remain - it has potential.

Mom and Dads aren't actually badly written, IMO, but they cater to the lowest denominator of fans, similar to 2 Broke Girls so I won't mind if they get the boot.
Trophy Wife? that show exists? LOL

Well another one to the list, and Judging by Lucky 7 ratings it could go down as well

I actually laughed a lot during "Trophy Wife." Mostly at the kids. The little one ("I"m from CHINA!") steals every scene he's in. Doesn't mean it'll last. But I'll be watching just for that kid.

I got around to the premiere and from what I had read I was expecting a real stinker. Not that I found it outstanding (by any means) but it is different or has at least shown the potential. I read endless complaints about everything being a copy with zero originality (outside of the one and only format they prefer :))... at least this didn't play like every other show on TV and each episode might even be a little different.

I caught "Trophy Wife" online before it premiered. I found it somewhat amusing and think the actors are a notch above similar shows. That is their biggest issue... there are so many related shows it's hard for anyone of them to stand out. I guess "Modern Family" is the giant and after so many awards I watched 10 minutes one night. That was enough for me and haven't watched it since. Perhaps, I should give it a real shot but then again I'm not a big situation comedy enthusiast.

Lucky 7's premiere had under a 2.0. It has nowhere to go but down. It will be gone soon.

I also liked Lucky 7, still need more episodes to be sure, the time slot sure doesn't help.
