The trick to early retirement, get all the Triaxs into your life, as soon as you're able. Marrying a woman older than you doesn't hurt either cause then she can retire first. tongue.gif

I was able to retire at 58. Being retired has slowed down my toy buying considerably but trust me, it sure beats the alternatives.

I'm hoping to get some kind of companies going in the future and have something that will always bring in money from different ends and then I'll be retired but still over see things, that'd be awesome!

That sucks, so then we'd have them assembled, tested and shipped from Friday till Monday, then I'll see mine by Thursday or Friday. Well it'll be awesome if I get mine during the week that way by next weeken it'll be an official Triax weekend! Dude that will be just in time for man of steel and my xbox one, man that was close! eek.gif Looks like I'll be skipping thanksgiving this year, I'll be flexing the house biggrin.gif

I am also in the same boat as you guys bros. Going on 6 1/2 weeks now. Only not Triax. Waiting on quad S2's. Same thing.. Waiting on drivers to arrive. Jeff of JTR been very good in responding emails though. He said should I get them my S2's by next week.

Marantz AV 8801 arrives Friday. I can't wait to see how the Marantz and Sunfire amp etc is going to sound. I'm also looking forward to playing around with the Audyssey XT32 and how it is going to adjust everything in room. Triax still getting better and better.

Holy crap, I don't think I've seen anyone order 4 of the Cap 2S - ha, or maybe I did see you post about it but it's been so long since you ordered I forgot! wink.gif

Wow, man. Are you going to co-locate each pair? If so you are looking at the same output as dual Orbit Shifters above 20hz and 8 orbit Shifters below 20hz!! If someone had the money, this is the perfect setup - no weaknesses. Dual OS is all any one would want above 20 and now you have below 20 covered too. This is going to kick a lot of a$$. cool.gif

Hang in there, I know very well what it's like waiting on new upgrades. The think is once you have them you don't really think about the time spent waiting, you are too busy having fun. smile.gif

Def be a workout placing those beasts, 4 subs would be awesome to have! Shouldnt have to worry about bass smoothing just have to deal with the house falling apart, awesome! eek.gif
post #1454 of 3312
^^ thanks bro.. It's just that this wait is killn me. Wifey won't let me put the order in for the Noesis 212 until my subs come in and have some time with them before I can upgrade my LCR. I was promised a month. Now kind of losing hope for next week.
Carp, I was thinking of co-locating at first. But I think I might go with 2 up front next to the LR. And 2 back evenly spaced. I don't whata you guys think?

Dude once you have the 212s, holy cow that'll be a dream setup right there! Is there some sort of diagram you could post showing room dimensions and where your setup is located? It might help to give you some ideas to what'd work out good
post #1456 of 3312
^^ Ok bro.. I'll see what I can come up and post it. Maybe a floor plan of my HT area. Thanks..

Hay Black.
I have bad news for you and myself. PSA will receive the drivers Monday or Tuesday, then build them then ship them.
So we will not see our Triax even by next weekend. mad.gif

Man someone slap me lol. Well the good thing is that I've made myself patient with this, since I know that the Triax will be worth all of the waiting. Thankfully I haven't made any movie plans with the family so I'm keeping all the good ones put to the side. This way there's no rush or disappointment. I've kept my sister occupied with some new baby hedgehogs that we just had so she's been playing with them. We had 12 of them! I wonder what went wrong with the latest drivers?

Rather disappointing I must say if we are being honest here......I also sent Tom an email earlier today about the drivers and what is going on (no reply yet though). I was really hoping to have both Triaxes before Thanksgiving but this second set of drivers seem to keep getting pushed back farther and farther.

My dad has been a carpenter since the dinosaurs have roamed the earth and easily has all the stuff to build some nice DIY stuff. With the delays (not Tom's fault but more communication would be nice for those of us spending $2799+) on a product I've considered just canceling both orders and just building my own subs for cheaper with more output.

However, I wanted to stick with PSA and support a company that makes their product in America but one can only wait so long when there are cheaper/better alternatives to be had.

Let's see, Friday is the 8th so I guess best case scenario would be to start seeing them show up at the door by the 15th. Any that don't make it by the 15th would show up from the 18th to the 22nd. Hmmm I hope something bad didn't happen eek.gif

I have been thinking about cancelling my order too and take my money some place else. I was told by Tom shipping date of 11-5 to 11-7 then 11-7 to 11-8 and now I am not sure when???? mad.gif
post #1464 of 3312
These shipping companies really make things frustrating for people mad.gif

Tom seems a nice guy but some of his words don't add up. Forget about 18. You just pray for 20-22.

Man that sucks, it has been a long wait but since I've waited so long I've got myself to keep waiting. Thankfully the sub turned out to be a beast and hopefully are luck will change for the good. Come on bro, don't give up, you'll be on top once you gets yours

I wish Tom could tell us a firm honest date. It is OK to know a month or two waiting but not next week and next week and ....???????/////<<<<<>>>>>:::::::""""""""" phew eek.gifbiggrin.gif

Hay Black.
I think everybody else got disappointed and went to bed. You and I are the only ones awake on this board.
I will keep in touch. Good night bud.

Honestly I feel you on this one, but since the first group went out and turned out so good I know they wouldn't do this on purpose. It looks like it might just be a string of bad luck since this was a new design, I'm not sure what else it could be. I was frustrated before but since I know they have a good name it makes me realize that it's probably just bad luck with moving these heavy drivers around long distances. I know our enclosures and everything have been ready so it looks like a shipping hold up again. These shipping companies that move heavier loads have all kinds of problems but hopefully it's something simple. Don't worry cuz soon we'll be trying to keep our house from falling apart biggrin.gif
