Make the poping sound.

The only time I have ever had a popping sound... Was when I unplug the power cord and plug it in.Are you sure your power cord is secured? Are you using a cheater plug?

Are you sure your house was not built over Indian burial grounds?
It might be the circuit break that is causing the popping sound. Using a power console for everything may eliminated the ground loop problem. It worked in my case. Glad you got your sub josh jp!!!

I would get back out to the store and get Olympus has fallen and Oblivion and also Unstoppable if you can find it.

How's this?

Definitely a better selection. Cloverfield and OHF will give the Triax a workout. Of the previous assortment, only WWZ really does anything to make the Triax shine, all the rest of them (including MU) would sound almost as good with far less capable subs. Don't forget WOTW and TIH.

Thanks man! I've gotten so many movies lately, I'm more than ready for this sub! If my house breaks I'll be happy!

Can you run an extension cord from another room to the Triax and see if it helps?
Try different outlets and see if this could eliminate the possibilities.
I wonder if you have a bad light switch... Have you seen it happen when you turn on other lights? Another option might be to try a power conditioner.

Mine is sitting in Chicago now. Mine is only going about a hundred miles further than yours.

No matter what we both should be enjoying ours sometime next week. smile.gif

Try turning on different light switches on the same circuit. It might be a switch with bad contacts.

I would try all lights in the room or adjoining rooms. If it does it with only one light it is a good chance it is the light switch IMO. I am sure Tom will get back to you soon in anyway.
Hey Josh, you wanna bring it over to my house biggrin.gif

I've got a 4runner, I'll provide the moving straps, all you have to do is provide the Triax......seems like a good deal to me biggrin.gifwink.gif

You either get the digital signal properly, or you don't. First indicators of a sub par HDMI cable is usually video sparklies and other anomalies (neon posterization) etc., to severe blocking and loss of picture. The folks claiming richer colors and deeper blacks are full of it and don't understand the differences between digital and analog signals.

Max

Thanks...pretty simple.
