Dang that's a fairly expensive option (compared to other available options). I didn't even really consider that there might be 12V triggered power strips/outlets. Sure would be more convenient for me since I use 12v triggers for my XPA-1 amps and I can just daisy-chain them. I don't understand why ALL the 12v triggered outlets are so expensive though. It's just a simple relay that closes the circuit. It's technically as simple as, or simpler than those energy-saving power strips that turn on/off the controlled outlets when the master device is turned on/off. If I felt industrious, it's possible to buy the relays and a 2-outlet box, plus wiring and the rest to make one myself for about $30.
can be controlled via wifi with your phone (once setup, you can even make sure the outlet is turned off from anywhere your phone gets cellphone service, i.e. if you're out of town etc.), AND it's rated for 15A/1800w as opposed to the 1500w that Xantech is rated for.
BTW, I found this remote controlled outlet too
which, contrary to the Amazon description, is rated for 16A/2000W by the manufacturer
not sure why it's listed under 'Discontinued' by the manufacturer though (still available through numerous sites including Amazon).
