Yamaha 2020 for $999

I know it is 2012 technology, but it seems like a really good deal. I don't really see any one feature on the 2030, other than it being new, that would make it cost 60% more. Am I missing anything here?

Nope. Not missing a thing. Typical incremental differences between models. That's a really good price for sure.

That's what I was thinking. I've been looking at the 2030 or 2020 to replace my old Sony with a 4K/3D/network compatible AVR for awhile now.

I saw that price on Crutchfield this morning. It sure is tempting even tough I'll won't ever need more than 7 channels.

I went on ahead and pulled the trigger and got it from amazon. I feel the same way about more than 7 channels, but it is always nice to have the option if things drastically change.

Good buy! And whether or not you use more than 7 channels, the amps nowadays are dynamic so they will direct unused power to channels being used when needed.
