Waiting for the game to start here in Boston.

The local Fox station is doing pre-game interviews with some of the worst video quality I've ever seen.

Comcast listed the game on their cable guide as being from 4-7:00 PM. They're still showing Dads for 8:00 PM.

Other than that, let's go Red Sox.

I'm surprised NESN isn't doing some sort of special pre & postgame show for the Sox playoff run.

all program guides had the game listed 4-7.

It wasn't changed until the dodgers lost late Friday night.

I thought I posted the pitching matchups for last night's game, but I guess it didn't go through on my phone.

World Series Game 2

Note: 1st pitch is for 5:07pm PDT.
anyone having audio issues on fox? Seems that the audio pitch goes up and down sometimes on the hd fox feed. Not the sd feed.
Kind of late I guess, but I had no issues at all. However, they don't need to show a reply 20 times. And I still don't like McCarver.

Well, I can honestly say, in all my years of watching baseball which probably dates back to 1989 as a 4 year old watching the Earthquake Series, I can't say I've ever seen a game end on an obstruction call, let alone in the World Series. However 3rd base umpire, Jim Joyce made the correct call in my opinion.

No opinion needed.

Rules are Rules

Never in my life either. That was the most bizarre thing I've ever seen to end a baseball game.

Crazy crazy crazy. Smart move by fox to send the delayed college football game to fox news last night so that fox can show baseball. I remember when fox had alcs and nlcs rigbts they moved alcs overrun to fx.

I must say, after watching Game 3 conclude the way it did, I can't say I envisioned Game 4 ending on pickoff.

So game 1 of the World Series was an 8-1 blow out. St. Louis' ace pitcher, Adam Wainwright, threw as he puts it, “garbage” all night. Not only that but their defense was anything but defensive. Dare I say, their defense was…offensive? And St. Louis' offense was non existent; however, could that be because of the goop that was in the glove of Boston’s pitcher?

Game 2 was pretty much a regular good ol’ evenly matched World Series game. That is until Boston allowed the winning run to score on an errant throw to third base. This brings us to…

Game 3, which by and large was just a good game with a crazy finish. Let’s face it, Boston and St. Louis are the two best teams with the best records in each of their leagues. By all “rights” these are the two teams that SHOULD be playing in the World Series. So theoretically, it should be the back and forth pitching and hitting dual, which it has been for the most part. So it stands to reason that it’s the odd things that are going to decide things this year. Never mind that it was another bad throw to third base by Boston that allowed the winning run to score but…that run was scored by a guy that can’t and probably isn’t supposed to be running (Allen Craig)…was tagged out but called safe because of all things…an obstruction call against Boston that really could have prevented the hurt guy from running in the first place....to end the game! This was a demoralizing defeat that would be challenging for anyone to come back from so how could Boston possibly rebound the next night?

Game 4….by of all things ending the game with a walk off pick off at first base with one of the best post season hitters at the plate who never even got to swing the bat.

Well…game 5 tonight, which is a rematch against the formerly “garbage” throwing Wainwright and the “goop glove” Lester. I kind of feel like the only thing missing is Beyonce singing “God Bless America” only to have the stadium lights go out like during the Super Bowl!

Stay tuned kids! I don't know if you can call this the best World Series ever. But it's by far the most entertaining by each game!

Prediction, Game 5: The game winning run will score on a balk. That's how crazy this series has been.
I think this has been the craziest series I've ever seen!

After mechanical issues trying to fly out of StL....it's anybody's guess.

As a yankees fan i want Boston to lose at Fenway and force a game 7 tomorrow...that would be a ratings killer for Fox. When was the last time a World Series game was played on Halloween? Weather could be a factor, as rain will move into Boston for the world series finale if the cards win. I think next year Joe Buck should be fired from Fox Sports. He's more worse than Tim McCarver. Erin Andrews is ok but it will be interesting to see her sideline report for the Super Bowl next year...

as a fan, always root for game 7s to happen

We pretty much agree on wanting Boston to lose (coming from a Cards fan). By default, that would in fact force a game 7, which just so happens to be on Halloween, which IMO just points out the total lunacy of late October baseball no matter who's playing. I can't agree that Buck is worse than McCarver and feel Buck is pretty good in the right setting. But you can call me biased (again, St. Louis fan here) because I do see flashes of his dad here an there and more so as he gets older. Erin Andrews is pointless in every way.

Absolutely. More baseball is always a good thing no matter who's playing. Well, aside from one's favorite team; a sweep is always optimal in those cases. biggrin.gif

Also being a Yankees fan, I wish for a Boston loss tomorrow so big that it will make them ponder shaving their nasty beards.

Well, I was hoping for a game 7 frown.gif. Congrats Sox fans now lose the beards! smile.gif
