your mains have no woofers!
given that weak point, maybe it makes sense to find a subwoofer that has a good top end and will allow you to increase the crossover point up to 150hz or so. that way your mid-bass will have something big and powerful rocking it, in place of dual 5.25s.
something like this:
in a seven cubic foot net enclosure slot ported and tuned to around 22hz would pound the heck out of you in your room, but also have a nice top end that could play quite high into the lower midrange.
that and a 500 watt plate amp:
would be about where you are moneywise.
this is the max spl with 500 watts. of course you can eq it any way you want within that limit. the gently rolling off response would combine with your room gain to give you pretty much flat into the 20's if not to 20 even without eq. and again, it is a nice driver and a little different from many regular car/ht subs in that it can be crossed very high if you choose.Edited by LTD02 - 10/4/13 at 12:59pm
