Mad Catz Mojo Ships In December!

It's basically Nvidia's Shield but in a box. Same hardware specs minus the display, so it's $50 cheaper. No word on if the hardware is clocked at the same speeds as the Shield hand-held. It will hit the streets in the 2nd week of December. It will also have the PC game streaming capabilities of Nvidia's Shield, so those of you who really wanted that can take advantage of it at a price lower than that of Shield.

An NVidia 7" tablet with a Tegra 4 processor is about to be released for $200 and it has a mini HDMI port so you can also hook it up to a TV. The Mojo seams like a cool unit but a more acceptable price would be around $160 to $180.

OK, I think that tablet only has 1GB Ram though for the version coming to the Indian market unlike the new Kindle Fire with 2 gigs of Ram and a Snapdragon 800 processor for $230. Hopefully the version the US gets will be 2 gigs.

Anyway, we'll see if Mad Catz will be willing to lower the price before it's released like what happened to the Shield.

The tablets will have a lower clock speed for their CPU/GPU because they have no active cooling, so they won't perform equivalent to Shield or Mojo in games. On the flipside, the bulk of games are designed around tablets (with a lot of them requiring touch-screens) and not Shield/Mojo's controller-only setup, so you will get more play out of tablets. It's a vicious circle.
