Newegg has it for $169.00. These are the rebadged paradigm?
I just bought some like new Energy V-Mini fronts. Still want to upgrade the rears and sub.

Should I have bought these instead?

V mini's are better than the MLT-2 speakers, they cost a lot more too. Much better finish, wood vs plastic, better drivers.

But for $169 for 5.1 can you really complain about the MLT-2?

Read the reviews before you buy, lots of discussion about the failure of the MLT subwoofer.

How does the MLT-2 compare to def tech procinnama 600? I've listened to the 600's at least.

I lost interest in satellite speakers a few years ago and moved up to bookshelf speakers which provide a fuller and better sound..

But if you have space limitations sats are fine.

His review of the Take Classic says it has a single 3" midrange but he doesn't mention the 1" tweeter. And it comes with a 8" sub not 10".

But at least he reviewed multiple 5.1 system.

To keep the wife happy with a small speaker setup, how about some Cambridge Minx Min 21 speakers for the rear? Use their small size to negotiate getting yourself a good sub like the SVS PB-1000 smile.gif

The size of the Energy Veritas V-Mini are not a issue. Don't want to go smaller. Just thought since the price was so good on the MLT2 I might just use that instead of the veritas v-mini. Would it be better to go the route of the MLT2 set NOW? Or, build the rest of the home theater with veritas v mini and a better sub (which might take me a bit more?)Thanks all for your expertise and insight.

The v-minis will look better and sound better than the ML satellites. You could find some Take satellites for cheap to round out your surrounds. They are easy to find on eBay.
