Hello,

I NEED HELP WITH CHOOSING A SETUP :(

I live in australia so costs are higher here and we dont have access to as large variety :( . I love my Movies ( and like to listen to music as well but movies and games are my passion ). Sorry  I have a few questions.

I have the following equipment;

1 X PANA THP55GT30A ( SAD TO SEE PLASMA GOING :( SIGH.. WILL B REPLACED WITH A PROJECTOR ONE DAY )

1 X PS3 ( SOON TO BE PS3 + PS4 )

2 X MONSTER HDP1750 POWER SURGE

4 X KLIPSCH RF-82 ( FRONTS AND FRONT WIDES )

2 X KLIPSCH RB-61 ( FRONT HEIGHTS )

1 X KLIPSCH RC-62 ( CENTRE )

4 X KLIPSCH RS-62 ( SURROUND AND SURROUND BACK )

2 X KLIPSCH SW-310 ( FRONT SUB AND REAR SUB )

1 X MARANTZ SR7007 ( MAIN AMP )

1 X SONY DA5300ES ( PRE-OUT OF MARANTZ FRONTS TO THE PRE-IN AND RUNNING MY FRONT WIDES** )

My 4 questions are these;

I have been reading online and finding that some say a 11.2 system should be set up as such

1. 7 speakers at front ( FLW, FLH, FL, C, FR, FRH, FRW ) and then 4 at back ( SL, SLB, SRB, SR )

2. 5 at front with the 2 wides about half way up and the 4 surrounds at back

3. 5 at front and 7 at back

Which positioning is best?

I will have a dedicated room for the system once the house is built ( 6M X 6M X 3M).

And where is the best place for the subs?

One at front and one at back or both at front or back or sides ect.

And finally last question. I have to friends who funnily enough work for audio companies.

One works for Yamaha and has said I should get a Yamaha MX-5000 ( 11.2 plus the ability to bi-ap my fronts ) + Yamaha CX-5000 ( 11.2 plus the ability to bi-amp my fronts ) combo to be able to run the whole system at once and do it properly running all 11.2 for my movies.

The other works for Marantz ( hence my conundrum ). Wants me to buy a combo of the Marantz AV8801 ( 11.2 ) + 2 X NAD T977 ( 14 channels in total so I could connect all 11 speakers and room to spare to bi-amp my fronts ).

They are both good salesman and friends and I'm confused because they both want me to get there product, not that they will be upset or cut if I get the other one or another option all together however I am getting these at a good price if I get it from them.I was hoping for some help to make the right choice for me.

Which combo would be better for my set up above ( I already have a buyer for the 2 older receivers )?

And is bi-amping really that important or going to give that much more?

Thanks so much in advance.

Cheers Henhrig
