No, the opposite happens.
Making the box bigger makes the driver "excurde" further then it would in a smaller box. The driver moves further for the same given amount of power (but you gain sensitivity). This can be bad or good, depending on the excursion and T/S specs of the drivers used.
If it were me, and I had the Dayton 18's, I would not put them in a box bigger then around 4-5cuft each, unless they were ported.

Putting it in a box much bigger then that will probably cause the excursion to skyrocket when you dump 1000 watts into them, let alone double that, which a EP4000 bridged can put out.Edited by Thatsnasty - 10/19/13 at 1:06pm
