It is anything with a light backround. It is harder to see with dark back rounds. Sad thing is that at first I thought I was being too picky, but I walked into my Best Buy and yesterday they messed around with my returned set and agree that the image was the best they seen, but right after 2 of them said "those lines were bad though". The lines appear almost exactly along the line of the stand. So if you look at the stands left and right side, the lines are almost aligned perfectly with the stand legs. Then there are 2 more lines to the left and right of the more centered lines.
I noticed them mainly against a light back round, but more when the screen is moving left or right where the image is panning, then it really shows up.
I think I may move on. My Best Buy is a smaller store, so on Tuesday morning, the put my returned Sony on display since they can't send it back, when I arrived today they immediately said "thumbs up or thumbs down" and they were shocked that the 2nd set had lines as well. Since I have gone through many TV's I asked what my options were and they were AWESOME. They said they would do whatever I wanted, even if it was a full refund. But I want a 4k set and then they offered to try a 3rd, but I think I am going to pass. 2 defects are enough, plus we have a member here in the UK that has the same issue. To me this is a bigger problem than isolated issues.
The Best Buy then offered if we wanted our Sony 4k and would even give it to us at an open box price which shocked the hell out both of us. So we are leaning that way. I never had an issue with the Sony other than it did not have Display Port and even though that is the main reason I wanted a Panasonic. But with the issues they are having, I cannot enjoy a set with vertical lines on it. The sad part is that the employees at best buy when they tested the Panasonic thought that the image was a little better than the Sony, which is something I have stated before as well.
Not 100% sure on what to do, but I may go back to the Sony!
