The first trailer is out.....

http://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/movie-talk/captain-america-trailer-steve-rogers-frustrated-agent-h-173022866.html

if for some reason that doesn't work....

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/local/wp/2013/10/24/first-trailer-for-captain-america-the-winter-soldier/?wprss=rss_local&clsrd

I was really wondering what the style of this one would be but it has a very updated look along with establishing a bit more intensity. I'm really looking forward to watching Cap deal with a formal enemy as well as his struggle with a "domestic enemy" based on his views of SHIELD. And I definitely and excited about the potential of Falcon!

We'll see where this one goes as well but count me in as excited!

I'm in, as I am for all of these blockbuster Marvel movies. And I'm watching that TV show too, even though it's not very good. Curse my misspent youth reading reams of comic books. Dadgumit, I'm Marvel's bitch. redface.gif

No shame my friend. No shame.

I've watched this three times. It's possible I'm getting more excited for this than Thor: Dark World.

No shame man I'm right with ya! I'm super excited to see Captain America kick some ass again. I really liked the first one a lot. Trailer looks great for the sequel!

I was not the biggest fan of the first Captain America mainly because the Red Skull storyline, I guess I wanted more Red Skull background. When this showed up in Netflix streaming I started to watch it to see how the video quality was. About 20 min. into it I realized this is way better than I thought. Count me as a convert. Definitely up for the second ! smile.gif

I was really surprised how well the first Cap turned out (and Thor too).
I expected the worst....

Marvel did a great job with these first 2 movie IMO.
Eagerly awaiting these sequels.smile.gif

What's really cool (at least I think so) is that usually when a movie that I want to see is coming out, there is this long wait from the time they start showing the trailers. With the new Cap trailer out now, there is still that wait; however, we get Thor in a couple of weeks to bridge the gap. I'm liking that!

Damn she looks so sexy with that haircut!

Um...and yes the trailer looks very promising wink.gif

Thought the first movie was boring as hell. By-the-numbers origin story stuff, not a single moment I didn't see coming ten miles away. The trailer for this one looks a lot more promising.

FWIW, C.A. was 3 outta 5 for me.
Good, but not great (and yes, it is "by-the-numbers").

Thor scored 4 with me (in terms of entertaining value).

I enjoyed the first one. Very much looking forward to this one. Now it just has to get good reviews so I'll actually go to the theater rather than wait.

It's what I'd call serviceable. It could have been truly great. But they seemed hell bent in simply setting up The Avengers. I would have made this a 2.5 hour epic with HUGE WWII elements. And I damn well would not have had anything in the present day. I would have ended it with Cap in the ice and then that'd allow him to be discovered in The Avengers.

But that's just me.

Seconded. And definitely could've used more Red Skull AND period music. Not enough nazis, too!

I will admit that the first CA was a little slow on the action side but for me, it had heart. There's something about someone who wants to do good in today's world because it's part of their very fiber that clicks with me. It's the one Marvel go-to movie when I can't think of anything else.

Not to harp on the first movie too much, but I can't tell you how ridiculous I found the beginning when scrawny, asthmatic pipsqueak Steve Rogers opens his mouth and speaks with the deep, manly, profundo basso Captain America voice right from the start. How difficult would it have been for Chris Evans (or the sound mixers) to lighten the voice a little to even vaguely fit with the visuals? Frankly, he should have been wheezing and had trouble speaking at all until he took the super-serum and transformed into ultra-macho Cap.

That shouldn't be a problem with the sequel, unless it has flashbacks or something.

confused.gif A person's build doesn't have much of anything to do with the timbre of his voice. Plenty of 98 lb. weaklings have macho-men voices, and vice versa.

I work next to one and grew up with another. Besides, I never thought of him as having a deep voice but rather a commanding voice with a lot of heart, which I guess is the point of who he is.

My issue wasn't his voice, but how rapid his transformation was. Like 5 minutes; really? I still liked it overall..

Bought a new wireless keyboard then misplaced it. Just found it.

I'm so glad they went back to a tougher looking suit than the one he had in The Avengers. All I saw in that movie was a guy running around in a little boy's halloween costume. Or Captain America pajamas.
