JETI Labs performing:
Spectral Radiance with OL 455 (Gooch & Housego, traceable to NIST)
Spectral Irradiance with OL 200/ UV 40 (Gooch & Housego, traceable to NIST)
Spectral Radiant flux with Wi40/G (Osram, traceable to PTB)
automatic test measurements (3 times on 20 different spectra) to check device stability, device intercomparability and comparability to a reference unit (CS-2000 of Konica Minolta).
& many other things that they don't publish.
It's impossible for someone to perform something like that at home.
Lets say someone will bought this 220euro lamp + VAT + Taxes + Shipping.... what will he do? if he finds out that his spectro is not measuring the lamp good? These lamp are useful @ labs to re-certificate/re-calibrate internally the meter.
i1PRO has locked eprom, noone can have access there, only from the X-Rite Service...
It's a waste of time and money for someone to buy such a calibration lamp for his home.
Things are not such simple as buying only a lamp.... it needs advanced knowledge, NIST certified lab etc.
