B&W system. Looking to add sub

Thread Starter

I've been a reader of this forum for a while now and finally am posting for my own help.

First, I'll tell you what I have so far.

Receiver: Denon X-4000

Fronts: 2 Bowers and Wilkins 683

Backs: 2 Bowers and Wilkins 685

Center: HTM61

This is 70% music 30% HT

Now, I am looking to add a sub. My price range is around $1,000-$1,500.

I have been looking at these subs, Martin Logan DYN1500XD and  REL T9BLA, but would love anyone's input as to which sub would compliment my system and needs the best.

Thanks!

Lots of options in that price range, including:
- Rythmik F15HP ($1,184*) or FV15HP ($1,274*)
- PSA XV15 ($799, shipped) or XS30 ($1,149, shipped)
- HSU VTF-15H ($879 + $143 shipping)

(*I'm not certain of whether or not shipping is included.)

And, for $100 more ($1,599, shipped), the SVS SB13-Ultra.

^^ Add to that the SVS PC13 Ultra and PC12+. The cylinder design is a great option since it's less expensive, lighter and easier (in most cases) to place.
