Going to wire my house- CAT6a? - Page 2

Just wanted to update. The wiring went smooth! All is working great and my network is streaming full BD rips with Zero problems. Thanks again for everyone's help. After the fact now, those fancy monoprice wall plates still looks like wires coming out of the wall. I though it would look nicer. One of these days I'll get the keystone jacks and properly terminate the ends. It will look nicer on the wall.

Glad it worked out.

Yes, wire makes a difference, as does the design. The way I suggested is how we wire small-businesses.

Hope you ended up running real solid-wire CAT6 (from the spool) inside the walls like I suggested. You can only "punch-down" solid wire into keystone jacks.

I must have lucked out, my townhouse was built with cat5e cables for phone cables (why you'd need a cable for a phone is beyond me tongue.gif)... all terminating at one point in the garage. Crawling around in a small attic is a pain in the butt.
