Custom sound settings requested

Hello,

I need some good custom settings for tv sound. I have done some calibration for display. The inbuilt audio settings are not very good. I want to use audio setting similar to one we have for cinema mode. How to do that?

Regards

A little more information would help. Like what kind of display, are you using a surround sound system, etc. If you are talking about the built in speakers in a tv, you really aren't going to get great sound out of them. Even an 80 dollar stereo system will give you way better sound.

^^^^ what sitlet said. If you're just using the tv's speakers, audio is going to be seriously lacking. Some tv's do a better job than others but there's only so much you can do with bass and treble settings only. A soundbar would give you better audio but the use of a receiver is where it's at.

Thanks for your reply. I am using inbuilt tv speakers. I just want some equalizer settings that will sound like inbuilt cinema mode.

If your tv doesn't have equalizer settings in the audio menu (doubtful), then you're stuck with what you have unless you go with some sort of external audio setup. All you can do is play with the settings you have until you find something you like. Keep in mind that the source will have an impact on what you hear because the tv will "reformat" it for stereo output.

It depends on the type of music you are listening to. Rock, classical, acoustical, etc. Do you have an equalizer on a computer music program like iTunes or on an MP3 player? They usually have pre-set equalizer settings for various types of music so you could copy those to your tv and see how they sound. Or just Google equalizer settings for various music styles.

Again, you still haven't told us what kind of tv you have. This will help us to know what kind of settings are available. But again, most tv speakers probably cost less than a dollar to make, so they aren't going to sound good no matter what you do.

Sorry for the late reply. I have Sony KDL60ES645

I don't find much info on the discontinued ES645. The replacement set seems to be the EX series but there's no mention of a built-in equalizer other than a bass booster.

Any recommended soundbar for 60 inch Sony KDL60ES645?

The budget is around 250$.

Do you have room for a HTiB instead of a soundbar? You'd probably get much better sound from a receiver/speakers than a soundbar at that price point, or a little above.
