I find that hard to believe but thanks for your opinion.
C'mon man, for real?
Anyways, I'll take my chances and see for myself that's for sure!

Well, you have to take into consideration that they had to match or beat
the sound quality of my B&W 803's to be kept
in my system.
I was/am evaluating them from the perspective of already owning those multi-thousand dollar speakers for a number of years. That's what I am attempting to upgrade up
The fact that I decided to keep the SEOS's in my system speaks volumes for their abilities, especially if you know how much of a perfectionist I am.
I upgraded to TC LMS-18's not to gain more SPL, but rather, to gain less
distortion (compared to Mal 21's etc).
Also, I actually had to forgo many many
features when I upgraded to the Oppo 105 and XSP-1 stack, I was willing to do that because I couldn't stand the distortions generated by a lesser product.
My motto is: I hate distortion with a passion. I refuse to tolerate any form of distortion (if I can avoid it); otherwise it festers and boils under my skin until I do something about it.
I don't know if it's because I have some sort of a golden-ear, or if it's just because I'm so passionate about it and log crazy-hours in front of my speakers, I hear what I hear though, and my ears have lead me to a LMS-18/Oppo 105/XSP-1 combo with EQ'ed SEOS's. IMO I don't think my ears have lead me too far astray (no?)

If I'm using EQ the wrong way then they why do they sound so much better with EQ applied?
I despise the fact that I have to use EQ on these speakers actually... It's not my first choice, that's for sure.
Had the EQ not fixed whatever issue they have, I would have thrown all 7 Cel 15's in the trash and tried some better mid's to give it a second chance, and if that didn't work... my last resort would have been to throw all 14 drivers in the garbage and buy B&W Diamond LCR's (and compromise on the extreme SPL/efficiency the SEOS's offer).
I had to compromise
on applying EQ to my SEOS LCR's so as not to have to drop another $20,000 on some B&W Diamonds.
I think I made the right choice (for now.... LOL
