Anyone have any UTV's for sale? (don't mind dead tuners)

Interested in them for parts purposes. Doesn't matter if the tuners work.
I'd like them relatively cheap though since they're pretty much paperweights anymore sadly. (webtv service is gone and DTV won't activate TV side of them for new users anymore).

Thanks

What kind of items would you need? I've got a bit of everything in my "parts" collection. Several RCA DWD490RE , at least one DWD495RE, and a few Sony SAT-W60. Keyboards, Remotes, Manuals, UTV Boxes...

Still have several active UTVs too which I suppose will need a good home when I get around to upgrading...

I'd say most of my "spare" parts collection do have issues of some kind a flaky tuner, maybe two, and/or have some strange behavior bugs (the 495 for example tended to freeze up/reset on occasion)... otherwise they'd still be "active".

Was thinking much of the collection was going to the local Goodwill vs offering them up for sale (considering their limited "value" to all but existing UTVers.). But should a forum member need something... I'm willing to help.

Guess there are still a few hanging on to UTV.
I went through mine a few months ago and tossed all but one of the one tuner boxes. I keep it to zero out a drive if need. What I have left is two tuner RCAs with a large drive and 3.8. Those are my ready to go spares.
You are just a little to late.

i have 1 with dead tuners but havent replaced them cause dtv has been threatening to shut them dowm for over a year. im using rca dwd440re and dwd420r boxes and they constantly display a message at the bottom of the picture telling me theyre cuttng their service. someday i guess they will and ill get new boxes. the utvs are from 2003 or earlier so theyre out too. so my point is be careful they may pull the plug anytime----d mad.gif

Might be the only choice they have to "upgrade" me. I've been meaning to upgrade to a Genie (and one or two Genie compatible "stand alone" DVRs (so I can use more then 5 Tuners...) But having to upgrade to SWM and therefore losing my UTVs (with a typical install). The transition is one I'm not looking forward to.

They've already pulled the plug on the Webtv side of these (9/30/2013) and from what I understand DTV stopped allowing new activations sometime afew years ago.

You are correct about DTV and UTV receivers.
They will no longer activate a card for a UTV receiver. Anyone still using UTV now has had their cards for a long time. We can still move a card from receiver to receiver on the same account if one bites the dust.
Most have figured out you have to have a larger fan on the box to keep things always cool. That is the only way to keep them running.

I have an old Sony Ultimate TV unit with keyboard, remote and manual. When disconnected years ago everything worked but been sitting in my closet for many years so make no guarantees. I will send it to you if you just pay shipping costs if you want it. If so just PM me an address and I'll box it up and then let you know shipping costs.
