Pio SC-1222 jumps out of PCM...

Hello Audio Experts!

We tried to watch a movie last night, but the SC-1222-k kept jumping out of PCM & into stereo every minute to few minutes, for a duration of ~ 1-5 seconds. This would cause a loss of sound & pop in the speakers, & loss of picture on the longer intervals into stereo. I checked all the wires this morning, but they are fine. Pio is closed until Monday so I can't speak with them now.
Any ideas, pls?

TIA! Murf

Could it be the disc? Did you try another disc?

Yes, I tried two disks, but now that you mention it, both were from Netflix. I better try another....

Should I try to reset my microprocessor, like is in your sig?

Thanks, Murf

That would be the final step as it would reset all settings to their mfr defaults. First rule out it's not an issue with Netflix.

Hello Audio Experts!

The Pioneer help line came through for me. Right away they suggested that it was the HDMI cable from the receiver to the TV. As a second, they said there was a small chance that it was the HDMI cable from the DVD player to the receiver. This second one was it. I bought a couple of cheap HDMI cables off of Ebay a while back, so be warned!

Thanks, Murf
