Mac Mini and Color adjustment.

Thread Starter
Do any of you know how to manually adjust the Gamma, Brightness and Contrast in the Mac Mini's ColorSync Utility? I have a 2011 Mac Mini i5, 2.3 GHz and 8GB of Ram. The blacks are just way too dark, no matter how much I mess with my TV's controls.

I would also like to know if there are any HD patterns I can use to correctly calibrate it.

Thanks. wink.gif

Not sure if this is what you want to do... Apple doesn't give numbers, just sliders... but:

- Open Display Preferences in System Preferences
- Select "Color" button
- Select "calibrate" button (and you may want to deselect "Show profiles for this display only")
- Check "Expert Mode - This turns on extra options."
- Select the Continue" button, and off you go.

You can make several different display profiles and choose between them. They'll be stored in the original "Color" window.

Certain DVD's include a calibration routine. If you have a DVD drive in your Mac, perhaps one of these will help. I can't remember which of my DVD's has this and I'm not motivated enough to go search, however.
