Well, the room is nearing completion. Items remaining to be completed:
- Build the in-wall media storage
- Build bar
- Hang projector
While the items may not be finished in that order, those are the items that will be completed. Other items that are on my radar but I need to do some room measuring once everything else is in place include absorption panels on the ceiling at the first reflection point, 3D diffusers on the rear wall and on the ceiling behind the listener, bass traps in the rear corners and two subs in each of the rear corners.
Now, for some photo updates.
I moved a lot of the furniture and gear back into the room. It was nice to hear some music from the system again. I also hung the screen and left the protective film on the screen until the projector is hung.
I installed the faceplate on the Grafik Eye once I installed the wall lamps.
The decision was made to simply paint the rear wall for now. I'm hoping the addition of some 3D diffusers on the rear wall will help add a little excitement to the wall. I choose a paint color that is slightly lighter than the fabric on the side walls. Bulk wire wall plates were installed to help control the wiring for the rear wall speakers.
Then came trim. I decided on white trim to add some contrast. It was difficult to choose between solid wood trim that matched the door and white trim. After I bought the white trim, I began doubting my decision, but once I installed it, I feel I made the right choice.
A few more pictures of the room with the rear wall painted, white trim installed, and some new fluffy and very comfortable blankets added (wife decision). New pillows are on order to add to each chair.
