Second page of Smiles locking up AVS requiring me to close out window and lose everything

There seems to be a bug today when using the second page of Smiles(MORE). When I click on MORE it brings up the normal extra smiles but after clicking the one I want the page won't dismiss. I can't do anything at that point, can't chose more Smiles, close the Smile page, etc. all I can do is to close out the window and lose all my work mad.gif Anyone else having this happen? I'm using FF for my browser and Vista on my PC.
I'm talking about the little smile.gif and mad.gif on the right of the screen.

Seems ok for me on Safari (iPhone). I'll check FF when I'm at a desktop.

Thanks Mike, it happens every time for me but I don't have a second PC handy to see if it's just this PC/configuration.

Tried another Vista PC(also with FF) and same thing, no access to the MORE option. Now trying same PC with IE frown.gifredface.gif
Seems to be a FF issue as IE is allowing me access confused.gif
Running V12.0 FF on both PCs but it worked fine last time I tried the second page of smiles(I would think in the last few days or so). Did anything change at AVS?
Not sure what other versions of FF will experience the lockup but it looks like V12 does and V25 does not. Tried a reboot of PC to no avail.

The win 8 laptop I used had V24 but both desktops with Vista have V12 of FF. Again it worked fine up to today(or last time I tried it anyway which is quite frequently) but not now....did AVS or Huddler make a change to our site?

There was a minor update yesterday (they happen every 2-3 weeks) but nothing with the editor/smileys. If you can, try switching to the rich text editor to see what it does in FF12.

I tried the rich text editor(RTE, using it now) but after I clicked SAVE a AVS popup came on my screen(similar to the smile AVS popup box) and I couldn't dismiss it. I X'd out my window and went back into AVS and my change to RTE stuck but unfortunately I'm still having the problem. In fact running RTE I now have no access to any smiles since in order to access any of them I must click a box which I cannot dismiss unless I X out my screen(losing everything I've done!).

I like that in RTE when I quote I'm able to see exactly what I'm quoting(no more gibberish code on my screen and it's also nice when using options like italic I actually see the italic on my screen and not just some code before and after what is supposed to be italic) but is there any disadvantage to RTE? In fact to me RTE seems like Word whereas what we had before seems like Wordstar(on CPM) where you didn't actually see fonts and such on your screen, just code.

I suppose it's time to update my FF, I just hate how they always change other things I've gotten used to when they do a update, like what it sounds like they did to the iPhone(at least according to what I heard on Ellen yesterday, I don't use a smartphone and don't normally watch Ellen but I caught a bit yesterday).

Where is everyone getting the "More" option for Smileys?

With my RTE, WIN8, and  FF25.0 and IE 11.0, I get only the Smileys menu when I click on the Happy Face icon, which shows 10 Smiley options and a Close button... no "More" option.

BB code editor.

Yes, Huddler responded that they don't test on FF 12 and it's not even supported by Mozilla any longer.

Thanks Mike, guess it's time to update my FF, that will mean I'll also stop getting harassed by Yahoo every time I log on telling me to update my browser...

And yes Wajo, as Mike said using BB code editor(not RTE that I'm using now) you get a MORE options for a few smiles not always visible on the right side of the screen, using RTE your kind of forced to use the MORE(actually smiley face icon) to see any smiles since they are no longer on the right side of the screen all the time.

Again for anyone using RTE, any disadvantages over BB code editor? Other than having to do a double click for the most common similes I don't see any, and appreciate the cleaner look while quoting or just adding special screen options like italic or bold.

There's some info on BB/RTE differences and some "tips" in my Article on Inserting Images. See the link at "Select and Use Your Editor Format (Important!)"

Thanks Wajo, some very interesting and informative links. It got a bit over my head, but thats not too hard to do......

I think I'll live with RTE for a while and see how it works for me, so far so good. I was pretty good with Wordstar at the time but haven't looked back, probably be the same with BB code.

edit: looks like PMs also don't work now with the older version of FF! Can't dismiss the box when you try and send the PM.
