I want to switch from my Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speakers to a 2.0 setup.
As I live in an apartment and can't use the sub-woofer anyway.
So I'm looking to spend around $200 for new (or used off eBay) for a 2.0 setup.
Right now I'm thinking Monoprice 5" studio monitors ($165), which appear to be rebranded M-Audio BX5s, but want to explorer other possibilities, ideas

You may be in luck - the speakers I saw at Monoprice came up $132.62. These should be head and shoulders above the Promedias.

I love my Audioengine 2 speakers; they cost $200.

I'll second the Audioengine A2. I bought a set of these for my work computer earlier this year and I've got a set of Promedia 2.1 at home. I like the A2 a lot compared to the Klipsch.
