I'm totally new to projectors and never used one. I've search the internet and came up with some options but not really sure about these options.

Please Recommend Low Budget Gaming Projector

1. Room: 10ft.x9ft, Ceiling Height: 10ft

2. Can block all lights if needed.

3. Budget: $500 -$750 (Comfort Zone), can go upto $900 if needed.

4. Don't need 3D

5. Don't need speakers

6. 720p Resolution (would be nice)

7. Display size: 70 inch

Most of the optima projectors are not available in India, so :/

Please recommend. Thanks.

I was going to say the LG PA75U or PA75K if you can find either one in India.  LED, has support for 3d even though you don't want it, and I have it now with about an 11ft throw with a 114" diagonal screen.  Works great.

i too would suggest getting a LED projector, e.g. LG, BENQ, OPTOMA, QUMI, which ever you can get and is priced gently (there seems to be varation between continents).

you probably can get at least one of those below $500, as you could get a "traditional" bulb projector, BUT i would consider the price of new bulbs especially in tight budget, because cost of new lamp will play big role if u need to get one in a year or so.

new bulbs cost $100-300 depending on the model you have, some of the newest carry long hours at cheap price, but i doubt they are available for projectors at that price range.

If you get an LED Bulb projector, the bulb will last 20,000 to 30,000 hours.  LED bulb projectors don't need to have the bulb replaced generally since they last so long.  So if you are playing 6 hours a day, every day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year,  It could last over 13 1/2 years...  You'll probably end up getting a new projector before the bulb ever goes out.

My vote would be for the LG pa70 or the 75..... I would plan on getting some sort of Power supply filter in the future as well to prevent any power spikes from doing damage- Bohanna
