Thanks for the responses! I ultimately decided on the the Elite 110" Cinewhite screen. It truly was more of a budget decision. I would have loved the Black Diamond screen from SI but couldn't make it work with my budget. It will have to be something I save toward. (sidenote - hey Blake, I'm in Austin if you guys are ever looking to clearance out any demo 110" Black Diamond screens I would be very interested - please pvt me if that is ever the case.) The guys at the store where I bought the projector ultimately swayed me toward the white screen. It sounded like they really didn't think the grey provided significant benefits over white and I rolled the dice in consideration of how dark my room is, the stellar contrast ratio from my projector and my ability to control the lighting.
The room is mostly together at this point and I've only been integrating the entire system and not enjoying. I can report that the white screen is good. Not great like the Black Diamond would be. I have a couple windows in the room with wood blinds. The light leakage during daylight hours does wash the screen a tiny bit but I can counteract by putting the projector in a brighter mode and I have no complaints. It would be totally fine for watching sports and general TV.
